STEAM Education

Makassed Schools integrate STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) into the curriculum in order to promote critical thinking, innovation and collaboration.  STEAM education provides learners with an opportunity to apply hands-on activities and think about real-world problems.

We, at Makassed schools focus on ensuring students’ personal growth and on enhancing the professional practices of teachers by adopting Charlotte Danielson Framework. Makassed teachers attend STEAM workshops at the Makassed Center for Professional Development and Educational Resources. Now, with better facilities, technology, and STEAM labs, teachers apply STEAM activities to develop students’ critical thinking, and collaborate with their classmates through inquiry-based activities.

KBWH students apply STEAM activities that are integrated in the Science curriculum along with other extracurricular activities where creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, experimentation and real-life connections are reinforced. STEAM helps our learners grow through everyday challenges.

Our learners have participated in various STEAM-based fairs and won many prizes.
