Preschool

Our educational project is built around a continuous learning pathway from Petite Section to Terminale. Islamic religious education and the teaching of the Arabic language are essential pillars of the educational journey at Makassed. We welcome children from Petite Section in a warm and nurturing environment that encourages discovery. Fundamental skills — language, motor development, independence and socialization — grow through playful, creative activities adapted to each child’s pace. Bilingual Arabic–French education begins from this early age. Preschool is part of the school’s full AEFE-accredited pathway (Petite Section to Terminale).

Primary School

From Grade 1 to Grade 6, students consolidate their learning in reading, writing, mathematics, science and oral expression. Both languages of instruction, Arabic and French, are used daily, preparing students to think, understand and communicate in both languages. From Cycle 3 onwards, students are introduced to Spanish as a third modern language, adding an international dimension to their education. Arabic language and Islamic education remain essential pillars of the Makassed pathway. Primary school is AEFE-accredited within the PS–Terminale pathway.

Middle School

Middle school is a key stage during which students refine their skills and deepen their knowledge across all subjects. Spanish instruction continues, while students develop independence, rigor, reasoning skills and critical thinking. A variety of teaching approaches and activities further enrich their educational journey. Arabic language and Islamic education remain essential pillars of the Makassed identity, alongside the AEFE-accredited French pathway. Middle school is AEFE-accredited within the PS–Terminale pathway.

Secondary School

Students choose between the Lebanese Baccalaureate and the French Baccalaureate, according to their academic plans and future study goals. They benefit from personalized guidance in a demanding and supportive environment. Subjects are studied in greater depth, language skills are strengthened, and post-baccalaureate guidance is provided. Spanish remains available as an elective. Projects, competitions, clubs and internships complete their preparation for higher education. <h3>French Baccalaureate Pathway</h3> As part of its French accreditation from Petite Section to Terminale, the Lycée offers a complete pathway leading to the French Baccalaureate. In Première and Terminale, students can choose from a range of specialized subjects: <ul> <li>Mathematics</li> <li>Physics-Chemistry (SPC)</li> <li>Life and Earth Sciences (SVT)</li> <li>Economic and Social Sciences (SES)</li> <li>Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures (LLCER)</li> </ul> The pathway develops strong academic knowledge, excellent command of French and foreign languages, critical thinking, independence, scientific and digital skills, and cultural and international awareness. <h3>Lebanese Baccalaureate Pathway</h3> The Lycée also offers a pathway leading to the Lebanese Baccalaureate, enabling students to follow the national curriculum, prepare for the official examinations, and pursue higher education in Lebanon and abroad. Through both pathways, our ambition remains the same: to enable every student to reach their full potential and confidently build their academic, personal, and professional future.

STEAM Education

At Lycée Khadija El Kobra, STEAM is a hands-on, cross-curricular journey where students tackle real-world challenges through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. From coding and robotics to AI and design thinking, learners research, build, test, refine, and present solutions with confidence.
